Utile help

From a promise
to a clearer decision.

Start small. Keep your source records. Use Utile to inspect what they support, and what remains unknown.

Use the browser app

  1. Create an account. Choose an opaque username and a password of 14–128 characters. Save the one-time recovery code privately; it is shown once. No account email is collected.
  2. Create a refund case. Enter a redacted name, opaque reference, refund amount, promised date and your own scenario assumptions. Dates are evaluated in UTC; the promised date ends at 23:59:59 UTC.
  3. Add reviewed evidence. Describe a redacted provider or recipient bank record, its event time, amount and reference. A provider’s issuance statement and a settled receipt are distinct criteria. Your source attestation is not independent authentication.
  4. Read the reasons. Check missing, rejected or conflicting evidence. Correct a record explicitly; the earlier event remains in case history.
  5. Compare and connect. Recalculate conditional full, half or no-refund balances, change assumptions and record dependencies on cases you own. The tool assigns no outcome probabilities.
  6. Keep control. Export each case, archive it or delete it. In Account, change your password, manage optional analytics, revoke MCP grants or erase your account.

Questions you may have

Can it read my bank, email or PDF?

No. There are no integrations or uploads. You manually supply redacted records. Never enter credentials, bank account numbers, names of other people or sensitive information.

Why is my case unresolved?

Missing, unreviewed, mismatched or contradictory evidence can prevent confirmation. Open the evidence evaluation for the reason. Acknowledgement and silence do not prove the refund happened.

What if I lose my password?

Use “Recover account” on the sign-in page with your username and recovery code. Recovery revokes earlier sessions and agent grants and issues a replacement code. Save that new code. Without either a working password or recovery code there is no verified recovery route; contacting support alone does not prove ownership.

Can others see my cases?

Cases are scoped to your account and are not public. An authorized agent client can access only the account and scopes you grant. The operator administers the host and can technically access stored data; storage is not end-to-end encrypted. Never share your password or recovery code.

What is optional analytics?

It is off unless you choose it. Consented events contain pseudonymous action types, times and voluntary ratings, not case text or amounts. They are retained for 30 days; withdrawing consent erases your account’s analytics. Only the owner can view aggregate statistics. Tests are separated from real use.

What about backups or outages?

Saved cases survive normal app updates and restarts. There is no automatic off-device backup or availability guarantee in this beta. A host or disk failure may lose data. Keep original records and your own exports.
